Komla Dotse Akude is a Ghanaian politician. He was a member of the first parliament of the second republic of Ghana. He represented the Ho East Constituency under the membership of the National Alliance of Liberals.

Education and early life

He was born on 15 September 1936 in the Volta Region of Ghana. Komla Dotse Akude obtained a Teachers' Training Certificate from Presbyterian College of Education, Akropong as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Ghana.

Politics

In 1969, he became the parliamentary candidate for the National Alliance of Liberals to represent the Ho East constituency.

He assumed office on 1 October 1969 but was suspended following the overthrow of the Busia government on 13 January 1972.
