Drake reveals Barcelona to wear his OVO owl logo on their shirts in El Clasico - 'This doesn't feel real’

The Clasico matchup between Barcelona and Real Madrid will have Drake's OVO owl logo on their shirts, according to Spotify and Barcelona.

In honor of Canadian superstar Drake becoming the first musician to record 50 billion downloads of his songs on Spotify, the Catalan giants, who are scheduled to face their fiercest rivals on Sunday at Santiago Bernabeu, will don a new take on their iconic Blaugrana jersey.

The team supporting Xavi will take the field donning a special shirt with the artist's logo. Xavi has won over 275 awards throughout his career, including four Grammys.

In response to gaining such a distinction, Drake wrote on social media, "This doesn't feel real yet it is."

According to Juli Guiu, vice president of marketing at Barcelona, "We are replacing the name of our main partner on the front of the jersey with an internationally acclaimed artist in Drake, who has won 4 Grammy awards and broken records in a variety of categories, including being the first artist to amass 50 billion streams on Spotify.

This effort demonstrates our potential to establish ourselves as a distinctive venue for providing fan-friendly experiences while also expanding our global audience.

During warm-ups in the Spanish capital, Barca will also don unique training shirts with the name Drake and the number 50 on the back and the Spotify emblem, which is typically on their home kits, on the front.

Both Barca and Real are yet to lose in domestic play this year as they head into their most recent Clasico match tied atop La Liga with 22 points each.
