Revenge Mission Accomplished As Mfantsipim Gives KUMACA & MEGHIS a Massive Show Down

The elimination of Adisadel College as Central Regional NSMQ 2023 champions indeed infuriated St Augustine's College and Mfantsipim School to give a massive showdown to any contestant today in the one eighth stage of the 2023 NSMQ.

The contest was a fierce one and intriguing indeed since it was a revenge on the side of the Kwabotwe Boys who bitterly succumbed to a painful defeat in 2020 to Kumasi Academy.

The one-eight stage of the 2020 edition of the highly competitive quiz, saw the two schools battling it out with St Mary's Senior High school for a slot to the next round.

However, at the end of the contest, the participants from the oldest Senior High School in Ghana proved to be no match for Kumasi Academy as they trailed them with 35 points whiles the winners garnered 53 points. St Mary's followed Mfantsipim with 30 points.

Despite the painful defeat on the side of Mfanstipim in 2020, they came back stronger in today's contest and left no stone unturned to avenge KUMACA, by defeating KUMACA and Mamfe Methodist Girls with 55 points as against 45 and 13 respectively for KUMACA and MEGHIS.



In round one Kumasi Academy jumped to the top seat with 18 points against Kwabotwe 17, MEGHIS 12 points. In round two, the speed race saw Mfantsipim (Kwabotwe) garnering 27 points as against KUMACA and MEGHIS who obtained 23 and 9 points respectively.

From the round of three, thus, the Problem of the day up to the Goil Riddle Bonanza, Mfantsipim showed a masterclass performance against the Kumasi-based SHS to win the contest. Congratulations Mfantsipim School
