15 year Marriage Ends After Women Is Taken Back To Parents After Planning Banana On In-Law's Grave

The residents in Kirinyaga were yesterday taken aback after waking up and finding a banana stem planted on the grave of their mother just a day after the mother was buried. A family had just finished with the burial preparation of the mother-in - law and woke up to find a banana stem on the Mother's grave the next day which had just been planted by the woman married to the son of the home.

The angry family with the support of the husband decided to end the 15 year old marriage with three children involved and take the woman back to her parents home.

According to the traditions of the community, planting of a banana stem on a graveyard is very symbolic and even means that more deaths would occur. While speaking to reporters, the husband to the woman, did admit that his wife told her, that there were three more deaths that would occur after that and that is why he decided to send her back home to be absent even when the deaths occur.

The woman had told the people that she would plant the banana stem on the graveyard which she actually did. According to the tradition of the community, when such a mistake is done, the person involved is supposed to be treated as an outcast and chased away from the community. The husband who spoke to the reporters expressed her disappointment in the wife following the events and decided to allow the wife take anything that she wants and send her back to her parents
