A man murders his wife and injures his father-in-law with a cutlass.

UTV reported that a domestic violence incident in Accra resulted in the demise of a woman and injuries to her father. According to witnesses, the perpetrator of the violence was a well-known abuser who had repeatedly forced his wife to leave their home.

"As the linguist at their wedding, I was aware of all the problems that plagued their union," a witness told reporters. They were dissatisfied with the clergymen's role in encouraging the victim to return to her abusive spouse.

In Nungua, friends and family of the deceased gathered to lament her passing, with Pastor Boafo of Calvary Baptist Church offering condolences and calling for justice. "The situation is growing worse. The country must communicate. Young people have been abandoned to perpetrate crimes. We implore the government to act and administer justice."

There are contradictory accounts regarding the perpetrator's motivation, with some claiming he committed suicide after murdering his wife because she insisted on a divorce.
