AJ Sarpong joins Media General

Ghanaian media radio and television personality, Nana Adjoa Akuoko-Sarpong, popularly known as AJ Sarpong has joined Media General after she officially announced her resignation at Citi FM yesterday, March 2 on her social media pages.

AJ Sarpong adds to the list of renowned media personalities including Berla Bundi, Giovanni Caleb, Cookie Tee, who were poached from other media houses to Adesa We.

TV3 officially announced AJ’s ‘new home” earlier today, Friday, March 2023 that in a Facebook post.

“Comunicado Oficial We are happy to have you join us @ajsarpong. Welcome to Media General 🎉.”

AJ worked with Citi FM and Citi TV, a privately owned media house in Accra until March 1, 2023, when rumours of her resignation started.

She spent almost 6 years working for the media company where she hosted “Brunch In The Citi” on Citi FM and “Hall of Fame” on Citi TV.

She has over 14 years of journalism experience and she is admired for her fluency and command of the English language as well as her great presentation skills.

Before Citi, AJ Akuoko-Sarpong worked with EIB Networks including Live FM, Starr FM and GHOne TV as a presenter, producer and host of Weekly Girl Talk Show, ‘Tales from the Powder Room’, ‘Live from the Capital Radio Show’ on Live FM among many other shows.

She has two Master’s degrees: one in journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and one in Brands and Communication Management from the University of Professional Studies in Accra (UPSA).
