Following the demise of the 31-year-old football star, Abedi Ayew Pele, a legend of Ghanaian football, visited the family of Christian Atsu alongside members of his family to express his condolences.

One among those killed in the earthquake that hit Turkey a fortnight ago was Atsu. On Sunday night, his mortal remains were brought to Ghana, where the entire nation is now in grief.

Andre and Jordan Ayew, the two sons of Pele, had participated in a number of matches for the Black Stars alongside Atsu.

During his visit to the player’s home, Pele gave his condolences to the family and expressed his sympathy.

The former footballer’s wife, Maha Ayew, and their daughter, Imani Ayew, also accompanied him on the visit. All three donned black outfits as a sign of mourning.

Atsu was a talented footballer who had played for various clubs including Chelsea, Newcastle United, and FC Porto. His sudden death has left the football community in shock, and tributes have been pouring in from across the world.
