According to the IDEG boss, Ghana's progress is being hampered by the two major political parties' wicked politics.

On Friday, April 21, Akwetey told Beatrice Adu on TownHall Talk on Asaase 99.5, "They put us at risk, our country could have gone down in flames because of violence from these two parties."

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the country's two major political parties, have been accused of engaging in "wicked politics," according to Dr. Emmanuel Akwetey, executive director of the Institute for Democratic Governance (IDEG).
This, according to Akwetey, is seriously impeding the nation's socioeconomic progress.

On Friday, April 21, Akwetey told Beatrice Adu on TownHall Talk on Asaase 99.5, "They put us at risk, our country could have gone done in flames because of violence from these two parties."

Because "their policies would have been different if they had competed against the delivery of development goals and they had made us understand that we are a nation."

"They have been wicked to each other, and we are talking about ex-gratia and so on. Do you know that after our lawmakers leave, they are unable to find employment anywhere else due to politics?" Akwetey continued.
