After listening to Prof. Frimpong-Boateng speak, I became depressed for Ghana.

Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, a former minister of environment and science, retaliated against the attorney for the (IMCIM) report that was released.

The report cited Mr. Asare-Darko for calling him on the phone to defend a mining firm damaging Ghana's greenery, according to Prof. Frimpong-Boateng, who served as the Committee's chair.

He claimed that was the saddest part.

"What saddened me the most was when Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko called to defend a company that was actively destroying the environment, especially the forests and River Offin in the Apaprama and Kobro Forests."

In response, the well-known New Patriotic Party (NPP) lawyer accused the renowned heart surgeon of not comprehending his stance in an interview with Accra-based Citi TV.

Prof. Frimpong-Boateng reporting him to the President is a non-starter, according to Mr. Otchere-Darko, because the President is a lawyer and would not simply act on such verbal complaints.

Prof. Frimpong-Boateng responded by stating that Mr. Otchere-Darko simply demonstrated extreme misunderstanding of mining laws and regulations.

The cardiothoracic surgeon added, "After hearing Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko's words, I became sad for Ghana."

"I questioned what had happened to us to get to this state, where a person who is supposed to be a lawyer to a mining company exhibited such industrial-scale ignorance about mining laws and regulations," said the man.

The well-known attorney and businessman were reminded by Prof. Frimpong-Boateng that his client had a long history of acting without consequence.

"Mr. Otchere-Darko, I don't believe you have retrograde amnesia, but I still want to refresh your memory about the environmental destruction that had been committed over the years by your client with the accompanying images and videos from Diaso forest and Apaprama."

According to Prof. Frimpong-Boateng, given the damage Mr. Otchere-Darko's client created, they ought to be in jail right about now.
