After years of abandonment, the alleged father of well-known Ghanaian performer Agya Koo is seeking reconciliation.

After years of abandonment, the alleged father of well-known Ghanaian performer Agya Koo is seeking reconciliation.

After years of estrangement, a guy who claims to be Kofi Adu, also known as Agya Koo, the famed actor and comedian from Ghana has come forward to make peace.

In an exclusive interview with Nana Sefa Hwenebobo on GHANA NEWS TV, Mr. Kwasi Bediako, formerly of COCOBOD, revealed that he was the actor's biological father.

The actor's mother and the actor's father allegedly had an extramarital relationship in the early 1960s in the now-defunct Meridian Hotel in Tema, according to the actor's estranged father, also known as Agya Koo.

Agya Koo was conceived as a result of the romance and was born on May 25, 1969.

He explained his absence by saying that Agya Koo's mother vanished after she told him about the conclusion of their encounter, leaving no sign of them or their locations.

He admitted that prior until lately, when he watched Agya Koo on television, he was unaware that the young man was his son.

"I didn't see him on television until I learned that she had given birth to a boy and given him the name Kofi Adu. this exhibits certain qualities and traits, and I just knew that this was my son," he claimed.

Although Mr. Bediako's allegations haven't been verified, they have undoubtedly generated a lot of discussion and speculative posts on social media.

The elderly man explained that he had avoided the encounter because he was shy when asked why he had waited so long to eventually reveal his identity.

I would embrace him as my son if I saw him now, but I've never reached out since I was terrified and bashful. Because of his distinguished life background, I did not want it to appear as though I was pursuing him, he admitted.

Online skeptics are asking a number of concerns in response to Mr. Bediako's shocking claims, like where Agya Koo's mother is and what led to her parenting Agya Koo alone.

The seasoned performer had previously spoken out on a radio station in the Ashanti region to refute a 50-year-old woman who claimed to be his biological mother.

He commented, "My mum passed away seven years ago...I've never met that woman.

Others have enquired about the situation and questioned whether Agya Koo knew about his birth father.

The Ghanaian actor of "Away Bus" rarely discusses his personal life because he is from the Ashanti Region.

He has revealed in the past, however, that he lived in Asantewaa, an area of Accra Newtown, where he worked as a cobbler.

At the National Theater in Accra, where he had previously performed as a comic to entertain the crowd before the start of the main production, he was found on a Ghanaian comedy show.

In the interim, Mr. Bediako has urged Ghanaians to spread the video in the hopes that Agya Koo will see it and he will be able to learn more about this startling finding.

"They brought me to Koforidua radio stations to declare that I am his father, but he didn't respond. I really hope he sees this video so we can talk," he begged.
