Aubameyang's future confirmed with Barcelona laying down rules

Chelsea boss Graham Potter has confirmed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be leaving the club until June. Barcelona will try and get him in in the summer only if he leaves on a free and they manage to get him to accept a lower wage.

Current Chelsea boss Graham Potter has confirmed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be leaving the club for the rest of the season and that he’ll remain in the squad for at least until June.

“Aubameyang is not ending his time with us. He hasn’t payed because there are other players we want to see in the short term, but he could have chances in the future”, the English boss said in the press room.

He then went on to explain what he meant: “He hasn’t been coming on, but he’s training well and he’ll definitely get his chance. He’s working with the rest of his teammates and we’re happy with him“.

What is for sure is that ‘Auba’ will stay at the Blues and will only leave in the summer, when he could go to FC Barcelona, who were about to sign him in January.

Despite having offers from the MLS, for example, the Gabonese striker is thought to be wanting to return to the Catalan side, but for Xavi’s side, he’s not yet a priority.

However, according to ‘Sport’, Barca would be open to welcoming him only if he left Chelsea on a free and if they could get him to cut his wages.
