Bawumia is becoming too desperate for NPP flagbearer position - NDC's Sarfo Duku

Sarfo Duku, a member of the Legal Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, has stated that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will do anything only for the sake of gaining power.

The remarks made by Lawyer Duku follow on the heels of Dr. Bawumia's tour throughout the Region on a bus, during which he received support from numerous powerful members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The member of the NDC thinks that these are tricks that Dr. Bawumia wants to use to trick the public into voting for him when they don't know what they're getting themselves into, and that this reeks of desperation on his part.

"The desperation of our senior brother, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumi, sometimes forces him to engage in tales and practises that make everybody who is even remotely close to him uncomfortable," she said. "You know what I'm talking about. He told her that she should feel embarrassed.

"You are mortified, but for the sake of political expediency, some people swiftly pick themselves back up. But if you take away the political context and realistically evaluate some of the things he says, you can't help but occasionally feel humiliated if you are in any way related to this man.

The Paramount Chief of Bunkpurugu informs Bawumia that even though your adversaries may loathe you and criticise you, God would see you through it all.

These comments were made by Attorney Sarfo Duku on the weekend political show on Akoma FM called Wonsom, which was hosted by Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin.

"Sometimes it's disgusting to see how much he wants to be president. For the sake of gaining power, he is prepared to do and say anything. Simply observe him from the time when he served as the running buddy. The private legal practitioner went on to say that "he has no standards and he has no barriers when it comes to what he is required to do in order to get power." [Case in point:] "He has no standards and he has no barriers."

During the process of submitting his candidature forms, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, confessed that in order to pay for his tuition at Senior High School and universities, he had to work in low-paying professions.

"From Sakasaka Primary School to Tamale Secondary School to Oxford University to the Bank of Ghana as Deputy Governor and then to become Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, it has been an amazing journey and I thank God for how far he has brought me," he said. "From Sakasaka Primary School to Tamale Secondary School to Oxford University to the Bank of Ghana as Deputy Governor and then to become Vice President of the Republic of Ghana."

I have worked as a mini truck driver, a warehouse boy, and a by-day worker on farms when I was in secondary school. I also worked in a warehouse after I graduated from university. During the time that I spent studying at Oxford University, I was only able to pay my tuition for one term. The rest of the time, I had to make do without paying my tuition thanks to the generosity of my fellow students. I didn't start making payments on my past-due fees until after I had started working in Canada after completing my PhD. Dr. Bawumia made these remarks at the NPP headquarters on June 16, 2023. "I have also worked as a cleaner of dormitories during my university days in Canada, so I can say that I have not had it easy at all," Dr. Bawumia stated.

But Mr. Sarfo Duku thinks that many other people have gone through such challenges in their lives as well, and that bringing it up encapsulates a desperate desire for power.

He attacked the Vice President for leaving government business at Jubilee House to engage in propaganda in the Ashanti Region. This criticism was directed towards the Vice President.

He pointed out that the Vice President and his staff were unfairly blaming the media for the problems that the NPP was having because none of the NPP's "tricks" were working, and he implied that the NPP Presidential hopeful was seeking support from the media because his campaign kept on stumbling.
