Businesspeople Will Never Forget Dumsor, and Chairman Wontumi does not want to see the NDC in power. Mahama

No businessperson wants to see the National Democratic Congress (NDC) take back power soon, according to Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the NPP's regional chairman for Ashanti.

According to Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, a.k.a. Chairman Wontumi, the 'dumsor' era under former President John Mahama left an irreparable impression on the business community' minds, and as a result, they don't want to see the NDC in power.

John Mahama, a former president, boasted that the NDC has what it takes to consistently put business owners' smiles on their faces.

In a speech to party officials and supporters in the Oti Region, Mr. Mahama said that the NDC is best known for fostering an atmosphere that has allowed businesses to flourish in Ghana.

He claimed that when the NDC is in power, "the businessman or woman knows the NDC makes them smile."

However, Chairman Wontumi urged the former leader to review his accomplishments and reenergize himself with tales of how the "dumsor" he brought about ruined Ghanaian firms.

"Joy FM's owner is a businessman, but I can tell you that he wasn't pleased with John Mahama's administration. He was forced to shut down his radio station before midnight because he was unable to pay to run his media organization on generators. Due to their goods going bad and becoming rotten, people in the cold store industry lost millions of cedis. "Students were unable to attend school, and doctors in some hospitals were forced to perform surgical procedures using phone torchlights," he said.
