Chelsea Legend John Terry commiserates with demised Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu

Former Chelsea, Aston Villa and England National Men’s Football Team Captain John Terry is sympathizing with demised Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu who was confirmed dead early today.

Atsu’s body was pulled from the rubble of his collapsed apartment in Hatay after an earthquake struck the south eastern Turkish city on Monday, February 6.

The 31 year old was playing in his debut campaign for Turkish Super League side Hatayspor and scored what turned out to be his only goal for the club mere hours before the earthquake hit the city.

Reacting to the news, Blues Legend Terry wrote a short message on his Twitter page that reads, “RIP my friend”.

In the wake of the disaster, Atsu’s whereabouts were unknown after early reports suggested he had been rescued from the rubble and hospitalized.
