Christian Atsu's 9 year old Son Wins Under 9 League Cup To Honor His Father

Ghanaian footballer, the late  Christian Atsu’s son, Joshua Atsupie has won the under-9 league Cup to honor his father who passed away in the just tragic earthquake in Turkey.

Joshua Atsupie was seen holding the cup in a short video shared on TikTok. He was with his teammates.

Atsu began his football career with Porto in Portugal, where he quickly rose through the ranks of the youth academy to make his senior team debut in 2010. During his time at Porto, Atsu won two Primeira Liga titles and reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

However, despite his success on the field, Atsu found himself struggling for regular playing time and was eventually loaned out to several clubs, including Rio Ave, Eibar, and Bournemouth.

In addition to his club career, Atsu has also been a regular fixture in the Ghanaian national team. He made his international debut in 2012 and has since represented Ghana at three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Atsu is widely regarded as one of the most talented and promising young players from Africa and has won several awards and accolades, including the BBC African Footballer of the Year in 2013.

On September 6, 2022, Christian Atsu joined the Turkish club Hatayspor, competing in the Süper Lig. He signed a one-year contract with the team, which included the option for an additional year.
