Education Kadjebi Desks

Kadjebi District Chief Executive (DCE) Wilson Kwami Agbanyo has donated 200 mono desks to the District Education Directorate for distribution to three Senior High Schools (SHSs).

Mr. Agbanyo, presenting at Kadjebi in the Oti Region, stated that in 2022, the District Director of Education complained that the three SHSs; Kadjebi-Asato Senior High School (KASEC), Dodi-Papase Senior High Technical School (DOPASS), and Ahamansu Islamic Senior High School (AHISEC) lacked furniture, and he assured him he would intervene.

The DCE stated that he sought assistance from the National Petroleum Authority's chief executive officer in order to complete the task, which was granted.

He stated that the arrangement of the desks was intended to facilitate students' ability to learn and be instructed.

Mr. Agbanyo requested that the Education Directorate donate 100 workstations to KASEC and divide the remaining 100 desks between DOPASS and AHISEC.

He stated that all education stakeholders were striving to improve teaching and learning in schools and academic excellence in the district.

Teachers and students were tasked with putting their shoulders to the wheel to reverse the downward trajectory.

During the DCE's first and a half years in office, 1,850 workstations were constructed.

He lauded KASEC for their outstanding academic performance in the 2022 West Africa Senior High School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and urged DOPASS and AHISEC to follow in their footsteps.

Mr. Seth Seyram Deh, director of education for the Kadjebi District, expressed his delight at receiving the desks, stating that they will enhance both teaching and learning in the schools.

He pleaded for more workstations to alleviate the district's massive furniture shortage.

Mr. Deh assured the DCE that his team would perform the necessary surveillance and supervision to enhance the district's academic excellence.

Mr. Cephas Adanuvor, an Assistant Headmaster in charge of Academic at KASEC, thanked the DCE on behalf of the three SHSs for the desks, which will assist in reducing furniture shortages in the schools.
