Duffour threatens to merge the NDC's presidential and legislative primaries.

Dr. Kwabena Duffour, a presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has raised concerns about alleged irregularities in the voter register provided by the NDC Electoral Commission.

The team has requested an urgent round table discussion to resolve the issue and guarantee a transparent and fair electoral process.

In a letter dated April 17, 2023, the campaign team requested access to the voters register, which serves as the premise for determining the eligibility of voters in the forthcoming presidential and parliamentary primaries, according to a press release.

In response to these concerns, a meeting was conducted at the NDC Party Headquarters on May 2, 2023, during which Dr. Kwabena Duffour's team was provided with information regarding the voter's register.

However, after conducting a preliminary analysis of the provided data, the campaign team identified what they regarded to be an excessive number of anomalies in the register. The irregularities have cast doubt on the legitimacy of the electoral process and the NDC Elections Commission's voter database.

In light of the concerns, Dr. Kwabena Duffour's campaign team has urgently requested that the relevant stakeholders, including key party actors, engage in a round table discussion to resolve the identified issues as soon as possible.

The team underscores the significance of resolving these issues to ensure a transparent and fair election, thereby avoiding potential pitfalls with severe repercussions.

"According to a previous letter dated April 17, 2023, the NDC Party Headquarters received a request on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, for the voter registration list required by the regulations regulating the upcoming elections.

"As the document that will serve as the foundation for determining the eligibility of eligible voters, and in accordance with the procedures governing our national elections, we requested the ability to thoroughly examine and be content with the register.

"On the basis of the letter dated May 2, 2023, a meeting was convened at the NDC headquarters on Thursday, May 4, 2023, during which the Dr. Kwabena Duffuor Team was provided with certain information.

"A cursory examination of the information provided further affirms our concerns regarding excessive anomalies in the Voters Register that the Party is presenting to the C.

A portion of the statement read, "We are drawing your attention to the potential legal ramifications of the NDC Elections Committee's actions and inactions."
