Ebony had nothing her death opened doors for her family - Lawrence Tetteh

Lawrence Tetteh AND Ebony Tetteh
Ebony AND Lawrence Tetteh The founder and president of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, has revealed that the passing of the Ghanaian dancehall/afrobeats artiste, Ebony, has brought about a breakthrough for her family.

According to him, the female singer was only in the beginning phases of her career at the time, and she and her family were facing financial difficulty as a result.

"Ebony had nothing, you can quote me anywhere; she had not yet reached the age of 21 when she passed away; her biggest contract with Bullet and the team had not materialised before she passed away; and Ebony had never been to Europe before she passed away. "

"The only privilege she had to go abroad was what connected me to her at the Hungarian embassy three days after which she died, so she never really had a breakthrough; she was in the pipeline for a major breakthrough but it never happened." — "The only privilege she had to go abroad was what connected me to her at the Hungarian embassy."

"So when she died, there was nothing at home, the truth was that it was rather the death of Ebony that even opened certain doors," he stated. "So when she died, there was nothing at home."

He went on to say that he was a significant contributor to the planning of Ebony's funeral, particularly after he understood that the family required assistance.

"I was able to assist financially, and in fact, I was in charge of the funeral arrangements." My home served as the location for all of the planning that took place in relation to Ebony's funeral; everyone, including her record label, MUSIGA, and her family, came to my home to prepare the funeral.

We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at my house; it felt more like a family than a group of strangers. The man who would become Ebony's father resembled my own sibling. I am the only one who can calm him down whenever he gets angry, and I am the one who took him everywhere and presented him to all of the Presidential leaders.

"And then also, I helped make sure that we secured the forecourt of the State House for the funeral," she said. "And then also, I helped secure the State House." I also purchased the casket for her and paid for it," he recalled.

Dr. Tetteh stated that the news of Ebony's passing did not come as a surprise to him; rather, he was overjoyed to learn that she had found redemption in the seventy-two hours before to her passing.

"Shock is an understatement. He remarked, "I thanked God rather for her, that at least she met Christ 72 hours before she was called into glory." "I thanked God rather for her."

Ebony was travelling back to Accra from Sunyani after spending time with her mother on February 8, 2018, when she was involved in a terrible car accident that took her life. Her 21st birthday was just eight days away when she passed away.

In addition to her, the fatal accident claimed the lives of her assistant and close friend Franklina Yaa Nkansah Kuri, as well as a soldier named Atsu Vondee.

The driver of the vehicle, a man named Phinehas who lives in Teshie in Greater Accra, was the sole person to survive the accident.
