Farmer is sent into police custody by the court for murder.

Around 2 am, Anyi is accused of stabbing the dead many times with a knife while they were both sound sleeping.

Elorm Papa Anyi, a 38-year-old farmer accused of fatally stabbing a 39-year-old farmer, has been remanded in police custody by the Nkwanta magistrate court.

On April 26, Anyi will show up again in court. Joseph Evans Annan Okrokpa served as the judge.

The wife of the dead, who is Anyi's cousin, was phoned by Anyi's wife on April 7 to let her know the suspect wasn't feeling well, according to the prosecutor, Bright Nkansah, who testified in court.

According to Nkansah, Anyi's wife reportedly demanded the deceased's and his wife's presence in order to decide whether to send Anyi to a herbalist or not.

The herbalist, who is the complainant, according to the prosecution, is an uncle of the suspect and resides in the Nkwanta South Municipality suburb of Pusupu.

The dead rode the suspect to the herbalist on a motorcycle. It was late when they got to where they were going. In order to evaluate the suspect's condition, the herbalist offered them a place to stay the night.

According to Nkansah, Anyi repeatedly stabbed the dead with a knife at 2 am when he was sound asleep. While screaming for help, the dead person bled heavily from his or her injuries.

The dead was shouting for aid when the complaint arrived on the scene. When the suspect noticed him, he took off running while holding the knife.

In the room, a puddle of blood contained the deceased's motionless body. The event was immediately reported by the complainant at the Brewaniase police station.

After a short while, according to Nkansah, the suspect turned himself in to the police while still brandishing the knife he had used to perpetrate the crime.

The prosecutor claimed that the deceased's body was brought to the Nkwanta Municipal Hospital, where a hospital medical official pronounced him dead.
