Five love languages you should know

"No matter how busy you are, couples should always find time for each other"

The Language Of Love

Love languages are the way in which a partner prefers to be shown, love by either a partner or friends.

It is important to understand your partners' love language and even show them affection the way they want.

Below are five love languages.

Words of affirmation

People who want words of affirmation want to be constantly told how much they mean to you.

They also appreciate constant communication and assurance that you love them.

A simple text like 'I am so thankful to have you in my life or 'You look amazing.'

Mostly, you can show words of affirmation in form of compliments.

You can appreciate how they look, but be careful not to make it too obvious.

Quality time

No matter how busy you are, couples should always find time for each other.

It does not mean just going out for dates or walks, it means being their partner's center of undivided attention.

If you take her out and you are always on phone then that's not quality time.

You can do this by even staying indoors, trying new recipes, or watching a series together.

Partners in this case don't look at the quantity of time spent together, it's the quality of what takes place that matters.

Physical touch

If your love language is physical touch, that means you prefer physical expressions of love.

Touch could be expressed both in private and public, commonly known as a Public Display of Affection(PDA).

This could also be manifested when introducing your partner in gatherings or informal meetings.

Some women like being held by the waist while men prefer being held by the hand.

It is normal for love languages not to be compatible in a couple.

Acts of service

Women are most prone to like this love language because of being vulnerable and not really aggressive all the time.

For instance, you help her carry something from the house to the car, and repair the shower for her.

With acts of service, it's the thought that matters to your partner.

For instance, you know she is short to get to the top of her cupboard, so you decide to be getting her stuff from the top, without her having to ask.

Receiving gifts

The thought of gifting a person who loves gifts really excites them.

However, this love language has nothing to do with being materialistic at all.

No matter how small a gift is, it will always be accepted and remembered.

The gifts don't need to be given only on special days like birthdays, you can still gift each other randomly.
