Former DCE for Amansie Central Found Guilty

The police have arrested the former District Chief Executive(DCE) of the Amansie Central District Assembly in the Ashanti region on suspicion of involvement in galamsey activities.

Thursday, May 4, 2023, Nana Kwame Asamoah Boateng and other phony military personnel were arrested for allegedly harassing and extorting money from illicit miners in the Amansie Central District.

Speaking on the Ghana Yensom morning show hosted by Odehyeeba Kofi Essuman on Accra 100.5 FM on Thursday, May 4, 2023, Nana Boamah, a local station reporter says small-scale miners Jacobu stormed the Jacobu District Police command office to complain Nana Kwame Asamoah Boateng who has intentionally been using the military and some armed land guards to intimidate, harass and extort monies from them at the mining sites.

The miners accused the former DCE of removing control boards and other vital components from their excavator machinery on occasion.

After receiving the complaint, the police launched an investigation that resulted in the apprehension of the former Amansie Central DCE and his fake military personnel during today's operational activities.

The Jacobu police command verified the arrest but declined to comment during the program.
