Founder Of Resurrection Power New Generation Church Has Died

The founder and General Overseer of the Resurrection Power New Generation Church, Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, has passed on. The news broke out via a communique issued and signed by his attorney.

Reverend Anthony reportedly died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, after battling a stroke since October 23, 2021.

In the statement announcing his death, he's said to have been going through a series of treatments to facilitate his recovery. He was in good shape and even led church service himself on New Year's Eve, but on January 31, 2023, his family took him back to the hospital when he complained of sharp pains in his left leg. He needed to undergo a surgical operation outside the country, but he died while they made preparations for his trip.

“Preparations were underway to make that journey when he was suddenly taken ill and was rushed to the Cardiothoracic Centre at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. Unfortunately, he gave up the ghost around 2:00 am on Tuesday, 21st February 2023”.

The general public and all members of the church are entreated to pray to God to grant Reverend Anthony a peaceful repose in the bosom of Abraham.

Meanwhile, funeral arrangements will be announced soon.

Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye was known for his philanthropic work. He extended help to patients, flood victims and the needy.
