Ghanaian coach sellas Tetteh receives government assistance.

The Nana Akufo-Addo government has come to the aid of Ghana coach Sellas Tetteh, who is allegedly struggling with his health.

The government, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, made a cash donation to the U-20 World Cup winner when they paid him a courtesy call at his residence.
The cash donation of GHC 50,000 was to help the former Ghana coach take care of his medical bills and any other expenses that may be required.

The ex-Liberty coach has been in the news in the last couple of weeks, after revealing that he has not been compensated for more than a decade after helping Ghana win both the Africa and World Youth Championships in 2009.

Sellas said he had fallen on hard times and needed to be paid for his services to the country.

The cash donation was made at his residence on Monday by a Ministry of Youth and Sports delegation led by the Deputy Minister for Sports, Hon. Evans Opoku Bobbie.

Sellas and his family expressed their gratitude to the delegation and the president for their kindness.

Deputy Minister Opoku Bobbie was also quick to point out how important Sellas was to the history of Ghanaian football.
