God Saved NDC With Defeat in 2020 Elections - Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama attributed the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) 2020 election loss to divine intervention.

He stated that the NDC would have had a difficult time if they had won due to the "big hole" created by the Akufo-Addo-led government.

"[But] God said, 'NDC, stand aside. Allow those who dug their own hole to tumble into it.

"Today, they have dug themselves a deep hole."

As part of his campaign tour, Mr. Mahama made this announcement while addressing party delegates at the Amazing Hotel in Zebilla, Upper East Region.

The former president is currently on a campaign tour ahead of this month's presidential primaries.

He hopes to lead the NDC into elections for the fourth time.

Mr. Mahama insisted on Tuesday, May 2 that the 2024 election "will be different," noting that the branch executives will lead the charge.

In addition, he is confident that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will be victorious in 2024 based on a recent poll conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). He noted that the EIU's predictions have been accurate in the past, and he is confident that the EIU's poll is accurate.
