God has no plan B; Abel was not the chosen one

From the beginning of creation, billion years ago to the restoration of all things and creating of man, God’s purpose has been spot-on.

He lacks nothing because He is perfect and the embodiment of planning. Moses told the people of Israel that “God is the Rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he” (Deuteronomy 32:4)

The is the perfect definition of God and His Action called Will. To assert that God sometimes consent to plan B is like saying, He sometimes misses the target and has to find other means to execute His plans. That sometimes makes God helpless and it is wrong to say that. God’s plans are upright, there are no alternatives because He knows from the end to the beginning and works all things according to the counsel of his will (Ep 1:4-5, Rom 8:29).

Adam was not God’s original intent to redeem the earth, Jesus Christ was. Seth was God’s focus to continue the priestly lineage of Adam, Abel was just by the way. Talk of Isaac and Ishmael, Jacob and Esau travelling through Israel wandering on the desert. These were faithfully programmed by the Creator to fulfil His Salvation and redemption plan for mankind.

So why do some people have the notion that God consent to plan B’s?

Well, it’s a matter of knowing the mind of Christ and using it as a spectacle to read the Will of the Father. (For, “Who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinth 2:16).

The Mind of Christ contains revelations to understanding the mysteries of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 13:11) yet its application solely depends on the possessor to tap into it and grab truth to empower his life and dissolve doubts of other. It enables us paint a perfect picture about God.

When we ask questions like, why did God placed the tree in Garden, knowing man will sin gives the impression that God made a mistake putting the tree in the middle of the Garden because He knew man will eat and die. Another one is, Abel was God’s choice to Cain, but because he was killed, God chose Seth. This also paints a picture that God had no clue what the enemy was going to do and so when Abel died, God has no option than to choose Seth, the fifth son of Adam. The issue of why Jacob “stole” Esaus’s blessing under God’s approval makes the Father somehow partial but that is totally out of the picture.

Scripture interprets scripture and that is what we are here to look at. Be led by the Holy Spirit into understanding as we journey on.

So, lets skip from Adam and Eve (it’s a whole topic to discuss) to Cain and Abel and the introduction of Seth. When Adam and Eve brought forth the two males, the idea of Abel being God's favorite is drawn because his name even indicates, “Breath” (Genesis 4) who was a keeper of the sheep; a symbol of priestly duty. Cain translated as “Spear” that is a weapon was a tiller of the ground.

Note that none of the two was in God’s plan to keep the line that will bring forth the Messiah. The Devil has a clue that the Messiah will come from the woman, through a virgin birth (Genesis 3:15) but as to how he will arrive, he had no clue, so he begin attacking dedicated people to the Lord. Luke 3:37 doesn’t mention Abel because inspite of his commitment to God, the Father had his genuine plan, that is Seth. The devil was attracted to Abel’s loyalty meanwhile, the original man for the mission was being prepared elsewhere. True leaders are not found in the limelight, they avoid the crowd and open up to learning unaccompanied.

So, the devil missed his attempt to thwart the coming of the Savior. He attacked the wrong seed already predestined to die.

Men sometimes think people much talked about always qualify when it comes to positions in the Church of God or workpleaces. Through this mindset, we make wrong choices. But if the voice of God is heeded, true leaders of churches, companies, nations will be chosen. A critical example is David and the sons of Jesse.

Follow the line to Noah and his family through to Abraham bringing forth Ishmael and Isaac. That story was clear. One complex to be resolved is Jacob and Esau which I will address next.
