Hearts of Oak defeats Nsoatremsn to climb up to third place.

Hearts of Oak displayed tenacity by returning to winning ways on Sunday night at the Accra Sports Stadium with a tenacious 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman.

In the first 15 minutes, midfielder Philip Ofori was forced to score an own goal, and in the 66th minute, Yaw Baafi doubled the Phobians' advantage.

Two minutes later, Nsoatreman managed to score one back, setting up a suspenseful conclusion to the game. Due to Ransford Asokwah's dismissal in the last seconds of the game, the opposition finished with 10 men.

Finally, Hearts of Oak hung on to earn a critical three points and strengthen their chances of winning the championship, while Nsoatreman's losing streak grew to four games.

In other games, Vincent Atingah's first-half penalty kick conversion helped Medeama upset Karela United 1-0 and move up to second place.
