Here are the new four - member IMC named to steer Asante Kotoko

This comes as a result of the expiration of the terms of both the 12-member board of directors led by Dr. Kwame Kyei and the management led by Nana Yaw Amponsah, both of which led to the dissolution of the respective bodies.

In spite of this, Otumfuo has selected the four individuals who would comprise the IMC in advance of the 2023–2024 Ghana Premier League season.

One of them is Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, who is also a professional accountant in addition to being the Kontomponiaferehene.

Other members include James Kwesi Appiah, who coached the Black Stars in the past; Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, who has been given the role of new head coach; and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, who will take on the role of administrative manager.

According to a release, "His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, has appointed an Interim Management Committee (IMC) for Asante Kotoko S.C pending the restructuring of the administration of the club." The IMC will be in place until the reorganisation of the administration of the club is completed.

Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua is the Kontomponiaferehene, and he is also a chartered accountant. Akwasi Appiah is a former national coach, and Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum is the head coach. Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi is the administrative manager.

According to the additional information included in the release, "The IMC is to ensure that the club fulfil all statutory obligations of the Premier League and prepare a formidable team for the upcoming season."
