"I Will Donate My First Salary At Asante Kotoko To The Orphanage" - Yahaya Dawumi

The newest member of the Asante Kotoko squad, Yahaya Dawuni, has said that he is committed to making a meaningful gesture with his first club wage by giving it to an orphanage.

The versatile defender signed a three-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors earlier this week, shortly after completing his transfer from Division One club Susubiribi to the Porcupine Warriors. If all goes according to plan, he will continue to play for the squad until the year 2026.

Dawuni, who is widely regarded for his abilities as a defender, recently disclosed his sincere aim to the media affiliated with the club. Through the donation of his first month's pay from Kotoko to an orphanage, he communicated his wish to brighten the lives of disadvantaged children and bring smiles to their faces.

"When I get my first paycheck from Kotoko, one of the things I'd like to do with it is make a contribution to the orphanage. I have always planned to do that, and even when I wasn't a member of Kotoko, I had it in mind that for any team that I sign with, I will give the first portion of my income to an institution that helps children. "My parents are still alive, but I'm the kind of person who enjoys assisting others and has a passion for those who are disadvantaged," he explained.

In order to get a head start on the next season, Dawuni has already met up with the rest of his teammates at the Beposo training grounds so that they can begin their pre-season preparations.

The team is resolved to try for a more successful conclusion in the forthcoming campaign, with the goal of building upon their performance from the previous season, in which they finished in fourth place in the Ghana Premier League. They have dreams of doing even better this time around.
