I have noting against Tinubu I'm closer to him than some shouting individuals are today - Momodu

Dele Momodu, one of Atiku Abubakar's spokespersons during the last presidential election, stated that he has nothing against the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and that he is closer to him than some people are claiming today.

In an interview with Arise News' Morning Show program, Dele Momodu made the remark in response to a question about whether he would congratulate Tinubu if the court actually declared him the winner of the election.

Dele Momodu stated that he has nothing against Asiwaju as a person and that he is even closer to him than the majority of those chanting his name. He stated that, despite his opposition status, he is cordial with Tinubu and will congratulate him if the court rules in his favor.

"I have nothing personal against Asiwaju, you know very well that I'm closer to Asiwaju than some people shouting today, but I'm maintaining my principle, I represent the interest of my party...if the court declares him, so be it, we will wait until that occurs, but I can begin to predict what will occur in advance because we are already in court. I trust the court will be able to demonstrate that this election was a disaster.
