I've gotten a lot of hate for my confidence, and For being an LGBTQ+ ally - Sister Derby

Although she has kept to herself, focused on her creativity and only spoken out on issues that are dear to her heart, she has still managed to step on some toes.

In a recent sit down with Sika Osei on the “Stripped” show, Sister Derby revealed that although she has received a lot of love from her followers/fans, she has equally received some hate.

Explaining where she thinks the hate may have come from, Sister Derby stated that based on her own analysis, women have hated on her because she’s confident.

I think the hating comes from the fact that I’m confident, I do what I want and get away with it

They seem not to understand that it’s strategic, am I insulting someone, am I hurting someone, is it going to get me in jail

Sister Derby adds that she’s also received a lot of backlash for openly supporting LGBTQ+ community.
