If governors refuse to release Kanu, we will close down South-East -.Simon Ekpa

Simon Ekpa, a faction leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, has threatened to close down the South-East for two weeks if regional governors fail to secure the release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.

Following President Muhammadu Buhari's refusal to heed a court of competent jurisdiction that ordered the unconditional release of Kanu, the pro-Biafra activist issued this warning.

Ekpa issued a statement via his Twitter account on Tuesday indicating that the secessionist leader's whereabouts remain unknown, prompting grave concerns.

He stated, "Biafran territory could be under lockdown for two weeks if the eastern region administrators of the Nigerian government refuse to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu or provide an update on his whereabouts.

"This has become imperative as no one knows where MNK has been since his discharge. After two weeks of confinement and nothing, we will activate a previously unobserved strategy.

CorrectNG recalls the arrest and extradition of Kanu to Nigeria in 2021. Since the resumption of his treason prosecution, he has been held in detention.

Meanwhile, Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly in Abuja, Joshua Iginla, revealed Kanu's release in his prophetic insights for 2023.

Iginla's prophecies encompass a wide range of sociopolitical issues, including God's perspective on IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu and upcoming general elections, among others.

Ahead of the upcoming elections, the prophet cautioned the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) against being overconfident.

He added that Kanu must pray for his health both before and after regaining his freedom.
