Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, an expert in the entertainment industry, has urged Ghanaians not to contest Piesie Esther's victory for Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) this year.

He claims that unlike other artists in the category, Piesie Esther has actively sought votes from churches and other locations.

Arnold believes that her efforts to obtain the coveted award will pay off on the day of the awards, and that no one should make a fuss about it.

Arnold, speaking on Accra-based UTV, stated that other artists in the category have failed to do the same, but will return to say all sorts of negative things about the program if their colleagues who worked diligently to get votes win.

He provided an example of what occurred when Daina Hamilton won the award to demonstrate that the Church of Pentecost exerted every effort to ensure that she received the prestigious honor.

"Let us not devalue the importance of ballots, as they are crucial. If you are an artist and you say, "Let the process take its course," you may fail. You must encourage your followers to vote. "I would like to congratulate Piesie Esther for the work she has done in recent weeks to solicit votes," he said.

Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, King Promise, Camidoh, KiDi, Piesie Esther, and Joe Mettle are competing with Piesie Esther for the award.
