The Asona Royal family of Begoro in the Akyem Abuakwa traditional area, in the eastern region has today through a press conference registered their displeasure against the overlord of Akyem Abuakwa traditional council, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin.

According to the family, Osagyefuo has directed that another clan installs a new Begoro chief even as the case is at the law court.

The royal family bemoans why Asiakwa chieftaincy is still at the law court for over ten years but Osagyefuo is allowing the law to rule but insists Begoro should go against the law court.

Speaking on behalf of the family, the spokesperson, Daniel Darko, revealed that they want peace so Okyenhene must allow due process in installing new Begoro chief.

He added that thee president and the Inspector General of Police, must intervene to avoid any impending chaos.

They have therefore challenged the Okyenhene to carry on with the installation off he wants chaos to befall the town.
