It aches when I'm called an elderly musician - Piesie Esther

Mrs. Piesie Esther, the married name of the legendary gospel musician Piesie Esther, has expressed her displeasure at being referred to as a "old musician."

The musician maintains that there is no such thing as an old musician because there is no retirement age for musicians, especially those who are still active in the industry, such as herself.

When asked in an interview with Kingdom if she is offended when people refer to her as an elderly musician, Piesie Esther stated the following.

In response to the question, the 'Wa ye Me Yie' singer replied, "Of course, since we are humans, it will definitely hurt you."

Piesie Esther has accumulated dozens of hit compositions during her more than two decades in the music industry.

Her song "Wa Ye Me Yie" is presently receiving massive airplay on both traditional and social media, and has earned her seven nominations at this year's Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
