Junior Duffuor is permitted to challenge his father.

Dr. Kwabena Duffuor Junior, the son of National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate and former finance minister Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, has been given permission to compete in the party's May 13 Parliamentary Primaries.

His opponent will be incumbent Alex Adomako, his father's sibling.

Dr. Kwabena Duffour Jr. was approved by the Ashanti Regional Parliamentary Primaries Vetting Committee as a candidate for the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency.

The delegation that accompanied him to the screening consisted of Polling Station executives and some regional party executives.

In addition, he voted for Number 2 on the ballot after scrutiny.

Dr. Kwabena Duffour Jr. addressed the media and implored delegates in the farming constituency to vote for him so that he could direct development to the farming constituency.

In the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency of the Ashanti Region, three of the four candidates for the House of Representatives appeared before the vetting committee before the primaries.

Alex Adomako, the incumbent member of parliament, was the only candidate absent from the screening.

Ablakwa argues that Asiedu Nketia's backhand remark should not be taken out of context.

Dr. Kwabena Duffour Jr., who is predicted to win the primaries with more than 70 percent of the vote, was accompanied by his wife.

His entrance into the NDC's Ashanti Region office was greeted with drumming, chanting, and dancing.

Members of the NDC present at the location rushed to grasp his hand.

After verification, Dr. Duffour Jr. described the process as extremely efficient and fruitful.

He stated that he is competing in the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency primaries in response to the constituents' spontaneous appeal for years due to his contribution to the local party.

Dr. Duffour requested the approval of the delegates.

Additionally, he refuted his opponents' claims that he is unfamiliar with the Sekyere Afram Plains constituency.
