Lord Commey Draws Battle Line with Jefferson Sackey in Ablekuma Central

Director of Operations at the seat of government Jubilee House, Lord Oblittey Commey is set to slug it out with Deputy Director of Communications at the Presidency, Jefferson Sackey for the Ablekuma Central constituency seat in the Greater Accra Region.

Weeks after it was announced Jefferson Kwamina Sackey was already laying out a plan to contest the seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 election and has been actively engaging stakeholders, poster of Lord Commey emerged.

Lord Commey’s poster among other things said “It is Lord’s Time” announcing the coming of the Jubilee House Official to contest the seat. Lord Commey has however not made any official announcement yet.

Mr. Jefferson Sackey has however confirmed his interest and is actively working to win the seat back for the New Patriotic Party.
Sackey has an international and local media background. In 2007, he was a member of the then-candidate Akufo-Addo media team that projected him as the next President of Ghana and supported the 2012, 2016 and 2020 campaigns.

Jefferson’s media experience, starting from TV Africa and Joy FM to CNN and Deutsche Welle television as the West African Correspondent among others.

The race between the two big wigs is expected to be interesting with watchers saying it will be closely contested.

The NPP is yet to announce a date for its Presidential and parliamentary Primaries.
