Mahama is superior to Bawumia, claims Martin Kpebu

Martin Kpebu, a private attorney, believes that John Dramani Mahama would be a better choice to lead Ghana than Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr. Bawumia has held the position of vice president since 2017, while Mr. Mahama served as president from 2012 to 2017.

Mr. Kpebu insisted that Mahama was superior to Bawumia.

On Saturday, April 15, while analyzing the current economic crisis and the management skills of both the current government and the previous administration presided over by Mr. Mahama, he delivered this assessment on The Keypoints on TV3/3FM.

While some of the economic conditions that existed under Mr. Mahama were not purposefully created, according to attorney Kpebu, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his cousin, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, are responsible for the current ones.

And Bawumia is a member of the Akufo-Addo administration, he claimed.

As both parties hold primaries this year to select presidential candidates, Mr. Mahama and Dr. Bawumia are the most likely contenders to square off in 2024.

Due to his lead in the polls over his rivals Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and Kojo Bonsu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to elect its former leader on Saturday, May 13.

The Vice President enjoys widespread support from the party's membership, according to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which will choose its flagbearer in November.

Therefore, it is likely that the two will be pitted against one another in the 2024 elections.
