Mensah Sarbah Hall Officials Dine with GMSA Members to Celebrate Eid-Al-Fitr

The President of the Mensah Sarbah Hall (MSH) Alumni Association, His Eminence Francis Albert Seth Nyonyo, and other officials of the Hall hosted an Eid-Fitr dinner at the UG Central Mosque for approximately 800 students of the Ghana Muslim Students Association (GMSA).

The purpose of the gathering was to provide additional assistance to Muslim pupils at the University of Ghana.

His Eminence Nyonyo, addressing the students, stated that the Abrahamic religion is the basis of both Islam and Christianity.

"It's a joy for me to share with you because we all come from the same source, Abraham's source," he said.

He revealed that he prayed to Allah three and a half years ago, and Allah revealed to him that Christians and Muslims share the same relationship. This motivated him to continue fulfilling his responsibilities to the Islamic community.

He encouraged students to devote their efforts to studying, working diligently, and completing the training provided by their Lecturers so that, upon graduation, they could pass on the same information to others.

He concluded his speech by quoting from the Quran: "Islam shall multiply and spread from community to community."
