Michael Essien does not want to perform office labor.

Michael Essien has made it plain that after hanging up his boots, he has no intention of working in an office.

Consequently, he has taken up coaching and is pursuing his credentials.

The former Chelsea midfield maestro stated in an interview with DW that he appreciates coaching players and assisting in their development.

As a consequence, he claims he would rather be a coach than work in an office.

He emphasized, "I'm pursuing my badges because I enjoy being around the players on the field."

Michael Essien continued, "And I maintain a close relationship with them by conversing with them and giving them similar advice. It makes me happier than sitting in an office or talking to people on the phone."

Michael Essien has completed a number of coaching courses since his retirement.

He presently holds a Uefa A license and is employed by FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark.
