Mr. Mike Osibo, the favorite leader of the grassroots, is making ripples in the Oti region's much-discussed Guan constituency.
Mr. Osibo, a plant engineer from Likpe Mate, has been an active political contributor for approximately thirty years, and his dedication to the establishment of the Oti region and subsequent establishment of the Guan district is evident.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Osibo has held a variety of positions, such as polling station officer in Likpe Mate in 1996, constituency youth organizer in Hohoe from 1997 to 2001, and political officer at the National Youth Wing Secretariat from 1998 to 2000.
In 2005, he stood for the position of Volta Regional Organizer, and from 2006 to 2010, he represented the Likpe Mate electoral district as an assemblyman.
In 2014, he was elected as the first Vice Chairman of the Hohoe Constituency, and in 2015, he became a prospective Parliamentary candidate for the same constituency.
Mr. Osibo was appointed a member of the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) for the chiefs and people of Oti in 2018. In 2016, he became a prominent member of AFONA, a nonprofit campaign organization.
In addition, he was the Campaign Manager for Santrokofi, Akpafu, Lolobi, and Likpe (SALL) during the successful referendum in 2018 to separate Oti from Volta.
It is not surprising that the name Osibo sends tremors down the spines of those who desire the historically significant Guan constituency parliamentary seat.
His extensive political experience and long-standing commitment to the region make him an outstanding candidate for the Guan parliamentary seat.
