Leah from Murang'a Painfully narrated how her husband undressed her in front of his mother and younger siblings and started beating her up.

She was born and raised in Murang'a. She dropped out of school while in Form and moved to Nakuru where she was employed as a nanny.

After two years she met a man who was also from Murang'a. After a few months of dating, she got married and their parents blessed them to start their own family.

After one year she delivered her firstborn. She started noticing weird behaviours from her husband. He could sleep with the household she was employing. They could then start to disrespect her.

She reported him to his mother, but his mother told her to persevere claiming that men al never satisfied with one woman. One day they visited the village for the December holidays.

A few days later she saw her husband's photo with an old woman in bed. when she asked him about it, he unwrapped the towel she had tied since she was going to take shower and started beating her up.

His mother and his younger siblings went to check what was happening. She begged him to let her go wear clothes but he continued beating her up and his mother did nothing about it. The following day, she packed her belongings and left due to shame.
