My music is financially rewarding, says Black Sherif

Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has disclosed that his music career is financially rewarding.

The 'Kweku TheTraveller' crooner, Mohammed Ismail Sharrif, who entered the music industry two years ago, has broken numerous records and gained recognition both nationally and internationally.

The '45' hitmaker talked about how his team's dedication has helped them elevate the caliber of his music videos in an interview on TV3's Road to the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Black Sherif gave a resounding "yes" when asked if his music effort was paying off. It should be noted that with the release of his 2021 breakthrough song, "First Sermon," the visuals in his videos have significantly improved.

Yes, that is how we can shoot. If you look at my old videos, they don't resemble the ones and the images we have now," he claimed.

When he was just starting out in his career, the crew, which was made up of young people, began using a camera phone for photography.

Sherrif revealed, "Farouk has been capturing pictures and movies of me for the longest time; now, though, he has a poor camera. Yes, that's how it is.

Black Sherif attributed his team's advancement to their readiness to take chances and make mistakes in order to learn.

According to him, they had "zero" starting point and nothing to lose, so they tried everything and made blunders.

He told the show's hosts, "We are made up of risk-takers because we had nothing to lose and everything to gain, so everything we did, we were trying something and we've built up from there."

Best Hip Hop Song, Best Afro Pop Song, Best Reggae/Dancehall Song, Best Music Video, Best Hiplife/Hip Hop Artiste, Song Writer of the Year, Album/EP of the Year, and Most Popular Song of the Year nominations have all been given to Black Sherif.
