NPP winning 2024 elections will be tough - Sammi Awuku

At a youth mentorship event hosted by the NPP in Accra, Awuku made the following statement: "In 2024, we need to work times two to win the elections. I'm being brutally honest." In 2016, there was a significant amount of agitation for change, and the very reason why your campaign in 2024 will be different is because a campaign when you are in opposition is different from a campaign when you are in office. In other words, the campaign in opposition is different from the campaign when you are in government.

" If nothing else will remind you, what you should remember is that when you are in opposition, you use change, and when you are in government, you use continuity."

Since the beginning of the Fourth Republic in 1992, power has been passed back and forth every eight years between the National Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The New Patriotic Party (NPP), in preparation for the election in 2024, has established a goal that it has nicknamed "breaking the 8," with the intention of breaking this curse by remaining in power in 2024.
