National Anthem: Akufo-Addo's Daughter Must Apologize; She's Not Above The Law - Mahama

Akufo-Addo's Daughter Must Apologise; She's Not Above the Law - Mahama is the National Anthem of Ghana.
It has been brought to people's attention that Edwina Nana Dokua Akufo-Addo, daughter of President Akufo-Addo, disrespected the national anthem.Users of social media voiced their disapproval of President Trump for appearing to watch his daughter while she was on the phone during the playing of the national anthem. This is a direct result of the President's response to an incident in which a Chief did not stand for the playing of the national anthem. It is possible to recall that in June, the President reprimanded the Chief of Mempeasem, Nii Torgbor Obodai Ampaw VI, for failing to stand for the National Anthem during the 2023 iteration of the Green Ghana Day Celebration. This is something that should not be forgotten. After that, the Chief offered his apologies and clarified that he was unable to stand owing to his ongoing health issues.Edwina should apologise as well, according to Godwin Mahama, a member of the Communication team for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).During an engagement on the show 'Me Man Nti' on Neat FM, he stated that: "We need to force the President to make sure that his daughter apologises just as the Chief also did."

I agree that it is not a national event; but, you are required to stand and show respect whenever the National Anthem is being performed, which is why the President needs to make sure that his daughter offers an apology.

Even though she is the President's daughter, she is not immune to the consequences of breaking the law.
