Never again will I campaign for NPP - Mama Kali

Popular Kumawood actress Mama Kali swore she would never again campaign for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mama Kali asserts that she will never run for the ruling party because Bernice Asare, a colleague in the industry, criticized her following Nana Addo's 2016 election victory.

Mama Kali made a humorous remark that Bernice Asare and her family are qualified to manage all of the NPP's campaigns while refusing to elaborate on what actually transpired between her and her colleague in the industry.

Ahead of the 2024 general election, she also subtly warned NPP leaders not to approach her for campaigning, insisting they should leave her alone so she could appreciate her solitude.

Prior to the 2016 Elections, several celebrities, including Mama Kali, joined forces to campaign for the governing NPP, which was then in opposition, to gain power.

Mama Kali in 2020 disclosed that after their campaign, they were given a large sum of money to share, but Agya Koo and Matilda Asante only gave them $2,000.

We believe this is the primary reason why she is withdrawing from the NPP, despite the fact that she did not provide an explanation for her decision.
