Police Officer who slept with her son appeared in court but denied bail

The viral video of a SAPS officer who allegedly slept with her 10-year-old son caused a public outcry. Now, the alleged officer has been arrested and she recently appeared in court.

Since the disturbing case that has come to light, the female police officer has been charged with the rape of her 10-year-old son. The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, made an appearance in the Siyabuswa Magistrate's Court on Monday and is set to remain behind bars until her next court appearance on February 6, where she may apply for bail.

If found guilty of the alleged crime, the suspect should be punished for the barbaric act she allegedly did. Hopefully, the 10-year-old child will be rehabilitated after this entire ordeal. Children should not pass through such acts.

It should be noted that child abuse is a serious problem in South Africa that requires immediate attention. The country must take decisive action to prevent further abuse and support those who have been affected by this crime.
