Police Officers Help Women Give Birth in Taxi, Visit Her 2 weeks Later with Gifts

Police officers on duty helped an expectant woman welcome her adorable bundle of joy in a taxi

The police officers from Windhoek, Namibia, visited the newborn baby and mother in the hospital two weeks later

They carried baby essentials as they went to see the woman and her little one to follow up on their recovery

Police officers are often called upon during emergencies like theft, fires, and homicides among others, but rarely are they involved during medical emergencies.

Namibia police rush to be midwives

Windhoek City Police Officers came to the rescue of a pregnant woman who was in labour and need of help.

The pregnant woman experienced contractions in a taxi and was ready to welcome her newborn.

The officers on duty rushed to the scene as they helped the lady safely deliver her bundle of joy.

Windhoek police officers visit woman, newborn in hospital

Their service did not end there as two weeks later; the police officers visited the mother and her child in the hospital.

They did not visit her empty-handed but carried some baby essentials for the little one.

"The department felt the need to offer support to the doting mother and the newborn," part of the caption read.

The law enforcement agency shared adorable photos of the police officer in their uniforms holding the baby after the woman had given birth.

Social media users hailed the police for their service and showing their human part while on patrol.

Police help American woman deliver at petrol station

In September 2022, police officers helped a woman deliver her baby at a petrol station.

The incident was recorded by a police bodycam and showed the police acting quickly by wearing gloves and helping her to deliver.

The brave mum and baby were then transported to a local hospital, where they were recovering.
