Rev. Dr. Hilliard Dogbe Elected New Chairman of the Christian Council

Dr. Hilliard Dela Dogbe was elected Chairman of the Christian Council of Ghana at the Council's last Annual General Meeting on April 19, 2023, in Accra, Ghana, at the headquarters of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.

He succeeds Professor Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, who served as Chairman of Council for two years.

Dr. Hilliard K. Dela Dogbe is the Presiding Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church (A.M.E Zion Church), Western West Africa Episcopal District, with additional oversight over Angola and Namibia.

In Ghana, he is the First Resident Indigenous Bishop of the A.M.E. Zion Church. Dr. Dogbe attended Accra Academy and Trinity College at the University of Ghana in Legon.
