Fatal Crash on the Koforidua-Mamfe Road Claims the life of a driver

The driver of a Xugong Mobile Crane vehicle was killed in a collision on the road between Mamfe and Koforidua in the Eastern region.

The motorist lost control of the steering wheel while descending the mountain, resulting in the collision.

Personnel from the Ghana Police Service and Ghana National Fire Service who responded to the scene observed that a Xugong mobile crane with the registration number GS 8400-11 was partially engulfed in bushes on the side of the road, with no sign of the driver or operator.

During a search, the driver was later discovered motionless in a nearby shrubbery.

Police hurried him to Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital, but he was declared deceased upon arrival.
