The caller, Mrs. Gloria Nyanteh, a MOGA 98 member, noted that government, parents, and teachers all play important roles in a child's education.

The 1998-year group of the Mfantsiman Old Girls Association (MOGA 98) sponsored the event this year, which had as its theme "Re-positioning Mfantsiman Girls for academic excellence: The role of stakeholders."

• There were some older girls present.

It also commemorated 25 years since the class of 1998 students finished their secondary education.

Mrs. Nyanteh thanked former students of the various senior high schools for helping to improve academic achievement at their institutions.

She went on to say that the school had made a significant contribution to shaping them so they might achieve distinction in their various fields of endeavor.

She also urged the students to research and provide evidence for the financial investments being made in their education.

In a speech, the deputy minister of education, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, mentioned that Mfantsiman Girls is still a top-performing institution in the nation and added, "The school has raised some of the great people we have in this nation."

He asserted that the education kids received on campus was among the greatest available anywhere and that Mfantsiman Girls had encouraged and prepared girls to be brave and courageous.

In a speech delivered on her behalf, the Central Regional Minister, Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan, praised the institution for its commitment to the advancement of the country.

She asked the school's administration to maintain the high caliber of instruction provided to the girls, saying that the administration of Mfantsiman Girls must work tirelessly to protect the school's reputation.
